It is normal to be angry from time to time, its a human emotion. Its a reflection of a situation or situations that we find is upsetting, threatening or plain unjust.

However when you express your anger in a way that harms yourself or others. That becomes a problem and you should seek assistance.

You might well feel entirely justified in your feelings of anger. But anger is much more likely to have a negative effect on your well being.
Interactions with people unrelated to the situation can and often will be effected by your anger. People will perhaps develop a perception of you based upon this underlying anger. Which won’t be favorable.

Uncontrolled anger will effect your judgement and success in life. Sadly you might even end up in jail depending on the chain of events that might result from uncontrolled anger.

Anger whilst a natural expression. Is a negative emotion when out of control.

Anger can have a really bad effect on your well being.

Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer are just some of the health issues that can stem from anger of a prolonged period of time.

  • Mental Health

Depression, stress and other mental health issues related to anger can and do result over a period of time. The amount of mental energy wasted on anger is amazing. The time you spend angry spent on other things could transform your life in many cases. Anger clouds your judgement. Bad decisions often result due to anger.

  • Success

Success is without doubt hampered for the vast majority of people through uncontrolled anger. Most people in prisons are there as a result of uncontrolled impulsive anger.

  • Career

Being angry outside work that then effects your performance at work. Being angry at work, alienates people who otherwise might work effectively with you. Neither of these scenarios is good for your career and well being in general. People generally avoid angry people, due to feeling uncomfortable. Angry people don’t generally make good career related decisions. Anger will effect your career.

  • Relationships

Relationships deteriorate through anger. It can erode trust, leaving people in your life feeling uncomfortable. Even avoiding contact with you. Scared to express their feelings. As they just can’t anticipate how you will respond to them.

It is possible to control your anger. Learning to express yourself without losing control. Hurting those around and close to you. Reducing the amount that anger disrupts your life.
